Giant 30cm Heavy Patagonia Gaucho Knife with Stag Horn and Regional Hardwood Handle - Handmade in Patagonia, Argentina - PL30/70-Stag
An absolutely incredibly 100% handmade, giant size, 30cm Gaucho knife. The natural staghorn antler and hardwood handle of walnut, measures 5.25” in circumference, tapering to it bolster. The handle in total measures 6” in length and is handsomely accented in solid brass butt and spacers. The knife blade is of heavy carbon steel, a regional Patagonia knife blade measuring a full 12”, making a total knife measurement of 18” from tip to butt end. Its spine is a smooth, flat design, is very heavy and measures a whopping 5mm in thickness. Note: Because these blades are so large, they require special shipping across international borders, therefore any 26cm or 30cm blade is shipped without a sharpened cutting edge.

Knife blades lose their sharpness with use, especially the carbon steel blades. A dull knife blade will not only be useless, but can also be more likely to slide off its cutting surface onto a finger or hand! That is why it is important to have the right tool to keep your knife edge sharpened. And ‘knife steel’ is the correct tool for safely sharpening any knife blade. Find yours by clicking here
