Hand honed stainless steel knife blade is a full tang with a convex edge blade with spire tip. Made with perfect balance for use by either the right- or left-handed user. Blade alone measures 8” (20cm), with a 3/4+” solid brass bolster. The blade width in total is approximately 1.5” at bolster, its handle measures 4" and is crafted of walnut hardwood and inlayed polished bone, finished with solid brass spacers at bolster and butt ends. The total length of the knife is 32cm or 12.5”.

  • 440 stainless steel blade

  • 20cm - 8” blade

  • Bone & wood handle

  • 30cm - 12.5” total knife length

Note: Bone used for knife handles is taken from naturally deceased animals. Bone handles are usually given a surface texture for better grip and added beauty

Each bone handle has its own pattern and distinguished look. Some bone is dyed in a variety of colors, or they may be left in their natural state. Bone is an excellent material for knife handles, it is durable with its rugged and attractive uniqueness. The majority of bone used for knife making in Argentina is typically from the Southern mountainous region. For example, antlered reindeer.

Knife blades lose their sharpness with use, especially the carbon steel blades. A dull knife blade will not only be useless, but can also be more likely to slide off its cutting surface onto a finger or hand! That is why it is important to have the right tool to keep your knife edge sharpened. And ‘knife steel’ is the correct tool for safely sharpening any knife blade. Find yours by clicking here
