Hand crafting at its finest! Just arrived from Patagonia, Argentina! A 30cm, Full Tang, Carbon steel knife blade …. in inches this blade measures slightly over 11.8”. With the large horn handle, an additional 5.5” from butt to bolster, the full length of this amazing piece is approximately 17.5”. It has an impressive, thick spine, measuring approximately 5mm with jimping. (Jimping are the notches at the top of the blades spine, see photo for example) The polished horn handle is 100% natural, not made to look like or simulated, it is crafted with authentic bull horn and polished to a brilliant finish. The widest portion of this horn handle measures a 4.5” in circumference tapering towards the bolster. These stunning knives are crafted one piece at a time by the skilled hands of expert knife crafters in Patagonia, Argentina. Each piece is made with perfect balance, meaning this knife can be used by either a right or left-handed person. Walnut hardwood and brass accents are used at the butt and bolster for a nice finishing touch. Hand cut Argentine cowhide leather scarab serves as both a blade cover and carrying case. Designed with a ‘pocket tab’ for carrying in a belt, boot or pocket. This is a heavy piece and absolutely made for a man’s hand! Great for BBQ’s, sectioning of a whole animal or just to show off! It’s a stunning, one-of-a-kind piece. Note: Because these blades are so large, they require special shipping across international borders, therefore any 26cm or 30cm blade is shipped without a sharpened cutting edge.
