Note: Bone used for knife handles is taken from naturally deceased animals. Bone handles are usually given a surface texture for better grip and added beauty

Each bone handle has its own pattern and distinguished look. Some bone is dyed in a variety of colors, or they may be left in their natural state. Bone is an excellent material for knife handles, it is durable with its rugged and attractive uniqueness. The majority of bone used for knife making in Argentina is typically from the Southern mountainous region. For example, antlered reindeer. Knife blades lose their sharpness with use, especially the carbon steel blades. A dull knife blade will not only be useless but can also be more likely to slide off its cutting surface onto a finger or hand! That is why it is important to have the right tool to keep your knife edge sharpened. And ‘knife steel’ is the correct tool for safely sharpening any knife blade. Find yours by clicking here
